| My site is intended to give you an over view of where I have been during my career. I apprenticed in NY during the late sixties with some of the best photographers of the time and have continued to explore and experiment ever since. My work has been published in numerous books and magazines including CA and Graphis Annual and has won many awards. Working with people who are trying to push the envelope in some way is the most rewarding and being able to get involved in a project before it is cast in stone gives me the greatest satisfaction. I love to try new ideas both technical and directorial to arrive at a unique visual solution for any project. Fine tuning an older approach, giving some past solution a new twist are all fair game, and to me this process is the best of all games and I greatly enjoy playing it. Although I’ve exchanged my life aboard a boat in Coconut Grove for a log cabin in the woods of Vermont, I’m very ready to go. My passport, and equipment are up to date and I’m just two hours from international airports. At the same time, I have been fortunate enough to find excellent local crew and will welcome your call to discuss any project. In addition, I have a deal for you! My family and I are very open to trade. Between my daughter, a graphic designer at www.melissawilber.com, my son who has produced and assisted me on many past jobs, my nephew, a feature magazine writer and the grand children at family photos who all love to participate in and model for many activities, are available in whole or part for trade projects. Just call to discuss. Additional links: exumas, marine |
| "Working with Bill goes beyond photography. It goes beyond the equipment, beyond the location, beyond the models, beyond the product - it's working with someone who has confidently been there and done it at every level, from the little barefoot kids playing baseball in the Dominican Republic to Michael Jordan and some of the best known athletes from around the world. From the seasoned professional model to the beautiful old smiling lady in a small town in Mexico. Bill knows how to communicate with people to bring the best out of them. He knows lighting better than the most technologically advanced light meter. It's easy to find a photographer, it's not easy to find one who is a master, and has the energy of a five-year old kid. There is only one challenge when shooting with Bill...his loud laughter and the fact he will keep his camera in hand and continue shooting until you have to drag him away."
